What safety measures are in place for children?
Charis maintains a top-tier security team on site 24/7. Every volunteer who works with or has access to children’s areas undergoes a background check. Children’s areas are fully separate from the rest of the conference, with all entry points and exits closely monitored to ensure safety.
What is the age range for youth activities?
We offer worship, messages, and activities for children and teens ages 5–17, with separate areas and schedules for each age group. This allows kids and teens to connect with peers their own age while engaging in lessons and activities designed specifically for them.
What should my child or teen bring?
Woodland Park sits at a high elevation, so we recommend drinking plenty of water throughout the week. Refill stations are available if you’d like to send a water bottle. Food and snacks are also available at the Charis kitchen and café.
What topics will be discussed?
Children and teens are divided into age-appropriate groups: ages 5–12 and ages 12–17. The older group will participate in deeper, guided conversations on topics such as politics, relationships, sexuality, and current events—handled thoughtfully and in an age-appropriate way.
